Boeing Plans 10,000 Job Cuts

According to CNNMoney: “Boeing Co. lowered its 2009 earnings outlook on Wednesday to reflect weakening economy conditions, saying it plans to slash about 10,000 jobs as the aerospace giant weighs the possibility of a modest production cut for the year.”

“Earlier this month, Boeing said it plans to cut 4,500 jobs in commercial airplanes this year as it reins in costs, with most of the reductions in areas not directly related to airplane production”.

“In addition to the 787, Boeing announced delays in its 747-8 deliveries.”
