Univision lays off 300, 6% of work force
Univision Communications Inc., the nation’s top Hispanic broadcaster, on Friday laid off 300 people, or 6 percent of the work force, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The company blamed the recession and the “downward pressure this has caused on advertising-related businesses” for the layoffs.

that is a massive load of crap reported by the so called spokesperson. the political bull s*** ran at the corporate levels of univision is amazing. they laid off people with the economy excuse and replaced some with equally or more expensive people that are not really better skilled workers. so much of this is true that even a lot of people resigned the same day and still keep resigning because they can’t take it much longer. univision, just like the bigger players had been hiring for the past 15 years the best team workers they could get their hands on. now, if all this changed since the company was sold, now, that is a different story.
