Microsoft sends second wave of layoff notices to 3,000
Microsoft on Tuesday notified more than 3,000 workers that it was eliminating their jobs.
The software maker said in January that it would cut up to 5,000 jobs over the next 18 months. It made 1,400 cuts at the time. With the second wave of notifications on Tuesday, Microsoft has cut nearly all 5,000 jobs already.

Why does MS need to do layoffs when economy has started stabilizing?
Who says it is stabilizing? It is shrinking, maybe a little bit less intensive
I think microsoft has started loosing out. If you see Microsoft just make shareholders happy in short term.

okay, here’s some questions
if these places can afford to cut all these jobs, how do they expect to operate effectively?
did they overhire?
do they measure performance of staff, or just the money?
do they care more about the staff or the money?
careful how the last question is answered, because the $taff are CUSTOMER$ too!
Microsoft is loosing out. Most of the layoffs are to show profit as the cost of top management not able to show strategic direction. Most of these are lack of vision once viewed by Bill
